On 7th January 1977 we laid the Foundation stone for St. Augustine Nivas Bangalore. On 1978 December 28th was Blessings and Inauguration of St. Augustine Nivas Bangalore. It comes under the Archdiocese of Bangalore. It is the head office of the Augustinian sisters in India. In February 1980, we opened a wing for the Elderly women at Augustine Nivas and it was called Monica ward.
Our Indian Mission raised as a region on 19th November 1981. Then it became a Regional house and the first Regional Superior was Sr. Wiltrud Moering. On 1992 we inaugurated a new home for the elderly in the campus called as Cletas Home. On 1996 Indian mission was erected as Province, and this house became a Provincial house. Sr. M. Prema Packumala was the first Provincial Superior. In 1999 we have built separate novitiate house in the campus. Later it was converted as the part of Old age home named as Nivedita. Since the demand for old age home was increasing, we built one more building attached to it in the year 2010 as Monica Home.
On 2017 we opened a hostel for the college going girls in the campus, which could accommodate nearly 255 girls. In the year 2020 we started a palliative care centre for the Elderly called as Elizabeth Care home.
At present, Augustine Nivas is our Provincial House, formation house also it is a study house for the junior sisters who pursuing their academic studies in different college. There are nearly 40 sisters stay here in two different communities. It comes under the parish of St. Antony Friary church.
The St. Augustine Convent Kumily is established on 1967. It is situated in Idukki district under Kanjirapally diocese. The main apostolate in this community was hospital. Here we had a parish nursery school for a few years and it got closed. Along with the medical field sisters are actively involved in parish ministry. We do family visit, family prayer and many other pastoral activities. At present there are 11 sisters in the community. All are trained in medical field.
This is our first mission station in Madhya Pradesh Sendhwa. It is established on 14th January, 1972. It comes under Khandwa diocese and Sendhwa Parish. It is situated in Barwani district. Sr.Celine, Sr.Prema, Sr.Agnella and Sr.Emily were the first members in this community. This was a mission station of S.V.D fathers. In November 1974, the Augustinian Sisters has taken up the responsibility of Nirmala Boarding and the Nirmala School at Sendhwa from Sr. Kaethy Houser and community. At present the school is directly administered by the diocese of Khandwa and we work as a staff in the school. Apart from the teaching mission sisters are participating all the pastoral activities of the parish and its sub stations.
On December 1977 we inaugurated the Convent Elizabeth Sadan at Sendhwa. The sisters who work in the hospital are shifted from Nirmala boarding to this convent in the beginning. Here sisters are mainly engaged in medical field. Under this community we have got Karuna hospital, ANM school and college of Nursing. There are 17 sisters actively involved in the mission activities of this community. Sisters do go for village mass, family visit and other parish activities too. It also comes under Khandwa diocese and situated in Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh.
Pushpa Nivas Pendarnia started on 7th February 1979. This community is started to do the social work and pastoral care of the people of Pendarnia and the surrounding Villages. Since the medical facilities were not there, we began a dispensary. It helped the sisters to reach out to the people around, to provide better treatment for the sick and suffering. The sisters were training the girls in needle work, tailoring and embroidery together with visiting the families, giving health education, providing medicines regularly to the out stations of the parish and different villages. The sisters were involved in the diocesan social work activities at Pendarnia ie. 'Mahila Mandal Groups”.
This community is under the diocese of Khandwa in Pendarnia parish which is situated in Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh. At present parish started a school at Pendarnia and two sisters teaches there. There are 3 sisters in the community and do the village ministry and pastoral ministry.
This mission was started in 1980 by Sr. Domitilla - a German sister, and Sr. Jacobine. They stayed in rented house and the convent was constructed in 1982. It come under the parish of Amaravathi in the diocese of Guntur, A.P.
The main purpose of starting our mission was to give health care to the poor people of Amravati Mandal and the surrounding villages along with the pastoral activities. As life time passed responding to the signs of the time, we started the English Medium school on the request of the people in the year 1985 to give proper education to the poor children in this village. Along with the ministries of health care and education, sisters are very much active in the parish and village activities. With the help of Pallotti Fathers, we go to the villages to do the pastoral activities. Later we have begun a Junior college on 2009 and it was closed on 2019. On the year 2022 it became a CBSC School . At present 1600 student are educated in this School. There are 5 sisters actively participate in all the activities of this community.
This was started on 10.02.1983 under the diocese of Manathavady in the parish of Adackathode. It was aimed at spreading our mission to the Malabar as well as to promote vocations from this area. Since there were no medical facilities we started a dispensary, which served many people to give better medical help. After many years of giving good medical facilities, it was closed in the year 2011. Later we realized that children need education help from us. So, we started a nursery school. At present we run the nursery school with 30 children, including LKG and UKG. There are 3 sisters in the community and are involved greatly in pastoral ministry of the parish. It is situated in Kannur district of Kerala.
On 14.02.1992 was the blessing of our Convent at Pedapadu. It is situated under the diocese of Eluru. Mainly we began to help the poor people in the villages. Later realized that education is very much needed this area, so we began our schooling. So, we started boarding for girls. Later be stared the school. On 21.04.1994 was the blessing and inauguration of our St. Augusine English medium School, Pedapadu. At present there are 750 children are educated here. There are 5 sisters in the community. They actively participate in all the activities of the parish and the community.
Keerthi Nilayam Pansemal started in the year 1992. It comes under Khandwa diocese in Barwani district, Madhya Pradesh. It was began with the apostolate healthcare - Dispensary. In year 2007 we have started a nursery school in Pansemal. On 13th February 2013 we started the English medium School in Pansemal and completed the full School building in the year 2016. Today we have the St. Augustine English medium School 12th Standard (+two) nearly 800 students are educated in the school.
Jeevodaya was built in 1990 for the formation of candidates from different parts of India. It is under the parish of Sendhwa and in the diocese of Khandwa. In 2002, It started to function as a school. On 2005 we built a new school in the same campus and Jeevodaya started to function as a hostel. In the year 2012 hostel was renovated and made new wings for the hostel which can accommodate around 450 students. At present we accommodate 300 students in the hostel both boys and girls. The school became a CBSC Higher secondary and educate nearly 800 students.
It was opened on 10th July 1993. The main purpose of starting the mission was to give better education for the students of this locality whose parents are working for the project of Narmada dam. It is situated under Khandwa diocese in Punasa parish. We started the social work and village visiting as per the need of the people. On 20th August 1993 we started St. Augustine school. On 30th June 1995 the blessings of the St. Augustine convent at Punasa. On 21 February 1997 , laid foundation stone for the Punasa School and the school was blessed on 30th January 1998. At present it became a CBSC secondary school educating nearly 700 students. We run LKG, UKG still run in the Narmada Nagar also with nearly 200 students.
It was in year 1997 at the time, just after the ethinic violence in Assam, the tears of the people were not yet dried, we started the mission in Gurubasha, Assam, in the Diocese of Bongaigaon in Gurubasha Parish. We constructed a small Dispensary to treat the poor sick and ailing. In 2003, we started the hostel for the girls at Gurubasha. Two sisters are very active involved in the touring, social work, and two sisters teach in the parish school. Therea are 5 sisters in the community.
On 7th March 1998, the foundation stone laid for a convent in Chapaguri, Assam under the diocese of Bongaigaon ,Cathedral parish. . Our Convent of Chapaguri, was blessed on 7th March 1999. On 17th April 1999 blessed the site for the St. Augustine Hospital Building. There are 14 sisters in the community. School of nursing started in the year 2011. At present sisters are mainly work in the hospital as well as nursing school. Apart from this we are actively participate in the pastoral work too.
0n 22nd May 2002, we started the Convent at Kuttimoola under Manathavady diocese in Kuttimoola Parish. We do here pastoral activities teach catechism, visit the sick, the families, take care of the sacristy and attend the prayers in the ward. At present we have a small nursery school with 30 kids. There are 3 sisters in the community and actively participate in all the parish activities.
Our convent at Karavaloor, under Changanacherry diocese in Punalur parish was established on 06.04.2003.Here we had a centre to accommodate young girls of the prisoners to get schooling. For the last 12 years of dedicated service and fidelity to the call of God we helped many young girls to get education through this centre. On 2015 as the government rule was in force, under the act of Juvenile Justice, we were forced to close this centre. At present here we give accommodation to 15 school / college going girls. There are 3 sisters in the community. Besides we are engaged in pastoral ministries of the parish. The catholic presence in this village is very small.
St. Augustine's Boarding for Girls was started as the request of Montfort Brothers of Gabriel, for the girl students of Montfort School Anakkara. The foundation stone was laid on 17th December 2003. Blessing and opening of the Boarding on 22nd September 2004. It comes under diocese of Kanjirappally and the parish of Anakkara 8th mile. There are 3 sisters in this convent mainly take care of the girls and KG boys' those accommodated in the hostel.
It is situated under Thalassery Archdiocese began on 3rd June 2004 at Perinkary. The main ministry we have taken up was pastoral activity. One of the main aims of beginning this community was vocation promotion. Whenever we came here in connection with the purchase of the land, the Parishioners were always pleading us to start a Nursery School. Hence later we started the Nursery School. There are 25 kids in our nursery. There are 3 sisters in the community and they teach in the nursery and actively involved in all the parish activities like family visit and ward prayer. It comes under Thalassery diocese of Perinkary parish.
On 20.4.2004, we started our Convent at Aduvasserry. Our convent is situated at North Aduvassery 15 km away from Aluva and 11 km from Angamaly, belongs to Kuttipuzha Parish under Ernakulam diocese. We started with a centre to accommodate prison children. It was a school going boys from 1st class to 7th class, who are the children of Prisoners and from broken families.
In 2015 as the government rule was in force, under the act of Juvenile Justice, the smooth running's of every orphanage were in trouble and we closed it. Today St. Augustine Convent is our Regional House of the Kerala of the Augustinian Sisters. There 4 sisters in the convent and they join for the pastoral work of the parish and family visit and join for family prayers.
On 4th August 2002, we began this mission. Rev. Fr. Paul Kannarkat CMI, the then Provincial introduced us this mission at Bhuj in Kutch District where they were supposed to start the HIV/AIDS Hospice. As the Centre was not yet started, the Sisters were taken to a Social Work wing of Navajeevan Trust, Bhuj, of the Diocese of Rajkot, to have some experience and exposure to the culture and life style of the people of Kutch district in Gujarat.
On 11th January 2005 this mission officially began and to be named 'Philip Care AIDS Centre'. It was named after Dr. Philip Kannarkat MD, who died of HIV/AIDS in USA at the age of 31. It comes under Rajkot diocese. At present 2 sisters work in this centre. There are 20 patients are cared by our sisters with the support of CMI Fathers.
It comes under the Archdiocese of Guwahati, situated under Mariapur parish. We started our mission in a rented house, on 17th January 2007 and stayed there more than one and half year with the hostel children. On 17th June 2008 was the inauguration of our Convent and Nursery School building at Dhupdhara. On 2013 we inaugurated the newly constructed hostel for the girls. There are 3 sisters in the community actively involved in taking care of the hostel girls of St. Francis school. Also, we run the nursery school with 20 kids. One sister teaches in St. Francis school.
We purchased the land at Sukliya in 2004. The purpose of this mission station was for social and pastoral work and to have a convent in Indore diocese. The inauguration and blessing of the convent was on 2006 April. It was blessed by Rt. Rev Bishop George Anathil. Sisters were teaching in Palloti School for some years. Since 2010 St. Augustine Convent Suklya is also functioning as the Regional House of the M.P. Region of the Augusinian Sisters. Later began a creche and closed at the time of covid -19. Then for one year we have conducted class and activities for the specially challenged adults. At present 3 sisters are in the community and do the sacristy and the pastoral work of the parish. We belong to St. Palloti parish at Sukhliya.
On 13th April 2008 was the inauguration and blessing of the Novitiate House Niveditha at Carmelaram. It was the novitiate house of the Province. On 28th August 2017 we started the Creche here as a part of apostolate of this community. Today we are having 16 Novices as well as 15 small kids in the Creche. It comes under the archdiocese of Bangalore in Kodathi parish. There are 3 sisters in the community.
This is the initial formation of the girls, joining our Congregation. There are 5 sisters in the community. A few junior sisters do their academic studies in SFS college in Hebbagudi staying here in this house. It is a destitute home for women. We started to take care of the destitute women in the year 2014. We are having at present 18 poor women in this house. We take care of all their needs including medicine. We take only the women those do not have anyone who care for them. Many good people help us to run this home.
It is situated in the Archdiocese of Changanacherry at Paippad Kochupally. Lourd Matha parish. Mr. V. C. Mathew donated this land to us. We constructed the building with a few rooms and was blessed on 8th July 2013. It is a senior citizen's home which can be accommodated nearly 50 members. We completed the work of this house with two floors in the year 2022. At present we accommodate nearly 35 residents in this house. We take care of all their needs. There are 5 sisters in the community. Apart from this we are involved in parish activities, teaching catechism and family prayers.
On the 30th of April 2015 we began this mission. This is our first house in Odisha. The primary purpose of establishing this convent is to promote vocations and provide a place for our sisters to stay overnight when they are on home holidays, especially if they are unable to reach their homes. On the 7th of February 2018, laid the foundation stone for our convent building. The house was completed, and it was blessed on the 24th of April 2019. On the same day, we celebrated the first profession of 8 of our novices. At present there are 3 sisters in the community, two are teaching the English medium school of the diocese in the parish. It situated under Rourkela diocese in Jhorabahal parish. There are a few hostel girls in our convent. We are also engaged in pastoral activities of the parish.
St. Augustine convent at Olimathi is situated in Thiruvarur Dt. under Thanjavur diocese in Tamil Nadu. It is 20 km away from Thanjavur diocese, 60 km away from Velankanni. St. Augustine convent Olimathi has got 16 acres of land consist of coconut plants, teak, fruit trees such as mango, guava, papaya cultivation of vegetables and paddy fields. In the middle of this land, we got a small house with one room, kitchen and a sit out. On 13th of June 2018, Olimathi became one of the communities of the Augustinian sisters under Indian Province. We also teach catechism, singing in Parish, vising the sick people, taking part in funeral services etc. We started the construction of a convent and a destitute home for women in the year 2018 and blessed on 2023. At present there are 3 sisters in the community.
We started a Rehabilitation Home called “Sneha Sadan” in Pansemal in 2009. This home's vision was to provide care, medical treatment, education, vocational training, and income generation opportunities to the vulnerable children. Over the years, Sneha Sadan evolved into the Pratyasha Special School, offering hope and love to children with intellectual and multiple disabilities.
On 28th July 2009, Sneha Sadan, lovingly called the “Home of Love,” was inaugurated in a rented house in Pansemal. The home welcomed its first batch of 16 children with multiple disabilities. In 2015, Sneha sadan, built a house in Pipaldar, Sendhwa and shifted 16 children from the rented house. Later Sneha sadan was granted official recognition as a Special School for Children with Multiple Disabilities. At present 4 sisters work in this centre take care of nearly 70 children with disabilities. It comes under sendhwa parish in Khandwa diocese.
It is a second community in Augustine Nivas campus. Sisters who work in senior citizens home and palliative care belongs to this community. Along with them the senior sisters those are away from the mission activities, who are taking rest due to their health issue are also belongs to this community. At present there are 19 sisters belong to this community.
This is our first convent in Meghalaya state. Our mission began at Boda Apal village in Meripara of the Resubelpara Parish under Tura Diocese. On 30th October 2021 two of our sisters Sr. Lissy and Sr. Nithya came to Merypara and started to stay in the old Church which was offered to us by the bishop of Tura.
On 9th February 2023 Rt. Rev Bishop Jose Chirackal laid the foundation stone for the construction of our, school and convent building in the land which was donated by the Diocese of Tura. At present the construction work is on progress. Meanwhile we have started a KG section school in the temporary shed. There are nearly 60 students are there in the nursery school at present.
On 3rd December 1967, St. Augustine Hospital was blessed by His Grace Most Rev. Mathew Kavukatt, Archbishop of Changanacherry. It is functioning well with different department and gynic as main. St. Augustine Hospital is a general hospital offering comprehensive services, including internal medicine, gynaecology, orthopaedics, and paediatrics. We also provide dialysis treatment, Sonography, CT Scan and have a well-equipped laboratory and digital X-ray department. Sr. Salomi OSA is the main gynic Doctor here. It is a 50 bedded hospital.
Karuna Hospital started as a Dispensary in the year 1976.On 17th February 1980 was the inauguration of the Karuna Hospital and started to admit the patents. Karuna Hospital is a general Hospital offering comprehensive services, including internal medicine, gynaecology, orthopedics, and paediatrics. We also Sonography, Ultra sound, and Blood Bank, and have a well-equipped laboratory and digital X-ray department. At present we have got blood bank and oxygen plant too installed in the campus. It is a 100 bedded hospital in Barwani district.

We are having a general Hospital offering comprehensive services, including internal medicine, gynecology, orthopedics, and pediatrics. We also have Sonography, Ultra sound, Physiotherapy, dental, eye care, ENT, C T scan and have a well-equipped laboratory and digital X-ray department etc. It is a 100 bedded hospital.

After 8 years we closed the junior college. Later in the year 2021 school is registered under CBSC syllabus. At present there are nearly 1600 students are educated in this school. The construction of the new wing of the school is in progress.
It was begun in the year 1994. The initial stage the school has run in the convent named as Domi school. Later we purchased land at Pedapadu centre and built the school and it is named as St. Augustine English medium school. It is a state syllabus school upto 10th class and nearly 800 students are educated here.
St.Augustine English medium School at Punasa was opened on 14th July 1993 at the request of the head of the NHDC for the education of the children of their staffs. Later we read the signs of the times, identifying the needs of the local society, to make the educational service available for all, we started a Hindi medium School in the same building. After a few years we closed the Hindi medium school. School was recognized by the M.P Board of education, Bhopal in the year 1999. In the year 2013 we started CBSE syllabus in the School. At present we educate nearly 700 students in the school up to 12th class both boys and girls.
In the month of June 2002 admission started for the new school from Nursery, LKG and UKG in Jeevodaya. On 18th July 2005 we constructed the School building of the St. Augustine English medium School. On 30th April 2008 our school got recognition from M.P. Government. The 2nd floor of the school was built later. On 23rd June 2010 our School got CBSE affiliation. At present there are nearly 800 students are educated from LKG to 12th class.
It was established in the year 2010. We started to take admission from LKG . Now it has grown and reached up to 10th class. This is one of the best school which functions well with good results every year. In the year 2016 we blessed a new wing for the school with equipped labs. We have begun the Junior college in the academic year 2024. There are nearly 800 students are educated here from LKG to 12 class.
This is a humble beginning of a school. We began in the year 2023 with LKG and UKG with 40 students. It began in a small shed. The construction of the school building is on progress. At present we provided education upto 1st class nearly 60 students are educated here.
St. Augustine's School of Nursing at Chapaguri, Bongaigaon Assam is established in the year 2011. This institution aims at conducting nursing education upholding the catholic doctrines. The school is recognized by Indian Nursing Council- New Delhi and Assam Nurses' Midwives' & Health Visitors' Council Guwahati. In the year 2023 we have constructed one more wing for the school and we have got the permission to admit 60 students in each batch.
Augustine College of Nursing was established in the year 2019. Parent Hospital is Karuna hospital at Sendhwa. Augustine College of Nursing is affiliated to Madya Pradesh Medical Science University, Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration council Bhopal and Indian nursing council,(INC). The college has fully-equipped research laboratories, and has an extensive library housing a wealth of nursing and healthcare resources, including books, journals, and other national and international reference books.
It is established in the year 2017 . It gives accommodation for the college going girls. Nearly 260 girls are given accommodation here. The majority of them are studying in Christ University.
In 2019, we have constructed the first floor of the Sneha Sadan house, we begun the Pratyasha Special School. This Special School now boasts a well-equipped Physiotherapy section, along with other essential facilities. It provides excellent care and support to its students. There are nearly 90 students with multiple Disabilities are educated and taken care by this school. Prathyasha Special School stands as a testament to the power of love and community to create positive change and transform the lives of those in need.

It was established in the year 2013. The house was blessed by Most Rev.Joseph Perumthottam the Bishop of Changanacherry Archdiocese. On 19th May 2014 Mr. V. C. Mathew and Alice Mathew came to stay at this house who donated the land for this purpose. Later many residents took admission in the home. In the year 2022 we constructed the second floor of the home and are able to accommodate nearly 45 people. There are nearly 40 residents are accommodated in this home irrespective of their caste, creed and religion. The male above 70 and female above 65 are admitted here. We take care of all their needs. It comes under the arch diocese of Changanacherry in Lourde Matha parish church at Kochupally.
It is a destitute home for women. This house was inaugurated and blessed in the year 2009. It comes under the Archdiocese of Bangalore in SFS parish at Hebbagudi. We started to take care of the destitute women in the year 2014. We are having at present 18 poor women in this house. We take care of all their needs including medicine. We take only the women those do not have anyone who care for them. Many good people help us to run this home.
